We had a little excitement before we left for the airport
this morning. Michael Capshaw met us (Chris and Mike) at our house so that we
could all drive to DIA together. He got almost the top of our drive before his
Civic decided that it was too icy. We tried pushing him up the drive to no
avail. Finally, I hopped in my pickup and pulled him into the drive. It was a good thing that he was early this
morning.
This is Michael Buckles first trip without his family. His
wife and two daughters brought him to the airport. It was good to have a
cheering party to send us out of DIA with style.
Right now we are waiting in Houston to fly down to
Tuxtla-Gutierrez. Al Bowie took a later flight, so he should be arriving soon.
We will arrive in Tuxtla at about 9:00 p.m. Then a two hour
drive to San Cristóbal de Las Casas and our beds at Casa de Carmelitas. We will
be up early tomorrow so that we can drive to Chacacal to worship with the
church in Chacacal.
